Job Overview:
North Central Equity (NCE) is looking for a Controller to join us! The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and analytical skills. The Controller is a key participant in part of the management team. If you are an experienced Accountant looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you. NCE is a holding company with 3 primary operating subsidiaries.

The Controller is responsible for supervising the accounting and bookkeeping activities of each subsidiary and participates in special projects as necessary. Prepares financial reports, performs research and cost analysis, maintains the general ledger, assists with audit preparations, and carries out other accounting duties as required. To be successful, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding applicant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and be able to work with little to no supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
• Preparing financial analyses and reports.
• Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditures.
• Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assisting with annual audit preparations.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Provide necessary information to tax accounting firm (you will not need tax knowledge).
• Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Providing management with information vital to the decision making process.
• Performing other accounting duties and managing the financial team as required or assigned.
• Implement Cash Control Systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Preferred candidates have a CPA or equivalent.
• 1 year of accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to train and manage staff.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Experience with Manufacturing Accounting Principles preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
